LIPA dedicates first combined fuel cell & solar power system installation on Long Island
The Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) dedicated the first combined use of solar power and fuel cell systems on Long Island. The unique combination of alternative energy technology systems are located at the Local 25 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) headquarters in Hauppauge. The 15 kilowatt (kW) solar power system and 5 k fuel cell unit will provide electric power and domestic hot water to the facility.

BayCorp announces successful completion of second natural gas production well
Nacogdoches Gas, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BayCorp Holdings, Ltd. ("BayCorp"), announced that it has completed the second natural gas production well in Nacogdoches County, Texas developed under its January 7, 2005 agreement with Sonerra Resources Corporation ("Sonerra").

Calpine awarded ancillary services contract with Alberta Electric System Operator
Calpine Corporation's wholly-owned subsidiary Calpine Energy Services Canada Partnership (CESCP) has been awarded a contract to provide 75 megawatts of Transmission Must Run (TMR) Services to the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO).

Cinergy Solutions finds direct line to savings
The Dow Chemical Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Union Carbide Corporation has engaged Cinergy Solutions to design, build, own, operate and maintain a new steam generating plant to service the South Charleston Technology Park. The new plant will be capable of meeting all the steam and utility services needs for the park and is scheduled for completion in July 2005.

Hawaiian Electric Company selects Siemens to provide new energy management system
Siemens Power Transmission & Distribution was awarded a contract from Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO) for a new Spectrum Power™ TG energy management system (EMS). The system will provide supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) with Automatic Generation Control (AGC), Power System Network Analysis, Operator Training Simulation and Information Storage and Retrieval with Siemens Spectrum PowerCC Historical Information System.

Truckee Donner PUD deploys Responder for improved response time to customer outages
During the winter storm season, Truckee Donner Public Utility District (PUD), a utility serving 13,500 electric customers in the Lake Tahoe area, has greatly benefited from the use of Responder, Miner & Miner's Outage Management System. Responder allows the PUD to quickly respond to customers, efficiently manage crews and incidents, eliminate redundant service orders and customer callbacks, and improve overall customer service.

Kilarc-Cow Creek hydroelectric project agreement finalized
A historic agreement which could lead to the decommissioning of PG&E's Kilarc- Cow Creek hydroelectric project has been completed. Upon decommissioning, the agreement also designates all water rights associated with the project to be used for providing additional habitat for the federally listed spring run Chinook salmon and steelhead trout.

Foster Wheeler awarded $53 million biomass boiler contract for landmark UK project
Foster Wheeler Ltd. announced that its subsidiary Foster Wheeler Energy Limited has been awarded a $53 million contract by SembCorp Utilities UK Limited. SembCorp is creating a new stand-alone biomass-fueled power station at its Wilton International site on Teesside, northeast England.

NSTAR chooses MDSI's Advantex r7 solution to improve enterprise field service efficiency and performance
NSTAR, the largest investor-owned electric and gas utility in Massachusetts, has selected MDSI Mobile Data Solutions' Advantex r7 software to manage service, meter, emergency and customer service work for its gas operations.

Environmental Power Corporation's Microgy subsidiary signs Chaffee Farms to development agreement
Environmental Power Corporation announced that Chaffee Farms in New York has signed a Development Agreement to deploy an anaerobic digestion ("AD") system from the Company's primary operating subsidiary, Microgy Cogeneration Systems ("Microgy").
