Alliance Data Systems acquires Capstone Consulting Partners, Inc.
Alliance Data Systems' Utility Services Division, a provider of business process outsourcing for regulated and deregulated utilities, announced that it has acquired Capstone Consulting Partners, Inc., a provider of management consulting and technical services to the energy industry. Capstone brings tenured consultants with a recognized level of in-depth utility expertise.

Beacon Power delisting stayed by Nasdaq
Beacon Power Corporation announced that on November 17 it received a letter dated November 16, 2004 from the Nasdaq Stock Market, stating that the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel has granted the Company an additional 180 days to regain compliance with marketplace Rule 4310©(4).

Entergy announces sale of Gulf South Pipeline to TGT Pipeline, LLC
Entergy Corporation announced that Entergy-Koch, LP has entered into a definitive agreement to sell Gulf South Pipeline Company, LP (Gulf South) to TGT Pipeline, LLC, a subsidiary of Loews Corporation, for a purchase price of $1.136 billion. The sale of Gulf South is expected to occur prior to year-end and is subject to normal and customary conditions, including the filing of notification under the Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust law.

ADA-ES completes successful mercury control program at Sunflower Electric
ADA-ES, Inc., an environmental technology and specialty chemical company announced the successful completion of full-scale tests that demonstrated three different technologies for significantly reducing mercury emissions from coal-fired plants. The tests were conducted at the 360 MW Sunflower Electric Holcomb Station located near Garden City, Kansas. This plant burns coal from the Wyoming Powder River Basin (PRB) and is equipped with a dry scrubber and a high efficiency fabric filter.

nPhase receives prestigious Chicago Innovation Award
nPhase, LLC, one of the nation's leading Machine to Machine (M2M) solution providers, was selected as one of only 10 companies to receive this year's prestigious Chicago Innovation Award. nPhase received the award for pioneering work in spearheading the international M2M initiative. This award was created by the Chicago Sun-Times in conjunction with Kuczmarski and Company, and will be presented during a ceremony at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

ABB, a leading power and automation technology group, announced it has acquired the assets of Pacific Breaker Systems, Inc. in the United States, a leading supplier of engineered solutions that improve the performance of installed medium-voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.

Gestalt acquires leading energy and utility consulting firm Barker, Dunn & Rossi
Gestalt, a business and information technology firm specializing in the application of interoperation technologies including decision support and simulation for both defense and utilities industry, announced that it has acquired Washington, D.C.-based energy and utility management consulting firm Barker, Dunn & Rossi, Inc (BDR). The acquisition is Gestalt's second in the sector this year.

Exelon proposes $2 billion contribution to Exelon pension plans in 2005
Exelon Corporation (Exelon) announced it is proposing to make contributions of $2 billion in 2005 to the Exelon defined benefit pension plans, eliminating the under funded status of these plans. The proposal is subject to approval by Exelon's Board of Directors.
