Clark Gellings to lead U.S. Committee of International Power Association
Clark W. Gellings, vice president of Power Delivery and Markets for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), has been elected to a two-year term as president of the United States National Committee of CIGRE (Conference Internationale des Grands Reseaux Electriques a Haute Tension). CIGRE is the permanent international council on large electric systems. Gellings' term begins January 2005.

Construction worker Jeptha McGee files suit against the city of Almeda
Construction worker Jeptha Anderson McGee filed a lawsuit June 21, 2004 in Alameda Superior Court against the City of Alameda, CA. and the Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Authority. He alleges that on July 15, 2003, as a consequence of the negligent conduct of the Defendants' employees and agents, he hit an underground energized electrical line while using a drill at the Alameda Point construction site (formerly the Naval Air Station, Alameda) causing him to sustain severe electrical injuries.

"Our first EaseOut easement took under an hour. With our old technology, a similar project would have taken the better part of a day.
