Energy Curtailment Specialists to manage demand response for feds

Buffalo, NY, Nov. 18, 2008 -- Energy Curtailment Specialists Inc. (ECS) announced that the Defense Energy Support Center (DESC) has approved a master demand response agreement with ECS, to enable federal agencies to participate in demand response curriculums.

By entering into this agreement, the DESC has provided a means for the Department of Defense and other governmental agencies to utilize ECS as their demand response provider, thereby providing access to energy solutions that provide benefits on the social, economic, and environmental level.

"Our mission is to provide federal agencies with comprehensive energy solutions that are effective and economical and demand response services go a long way in helping us meet that goal," said Lawrence Fratis, contracting officer for the DESC.
