Horizon Wind Energy partners with Snohomish Public Utility District

Houston, TX, Aug. 29, 2008 -- Horizon Wind Energy LLC (Horizon), a wind project developer, owner, and operator, owned by EDP Renovaveis, entered into a long-term power purchase agreement with Snohomish County Public Utility District (Snohomish) to sell wind energy from the Wheat Field Wind Farm. Horizon's Wheat Field Wind Farm, located in Gilliam County, Oregon, will have an installed capacity of 96.6 megawatts (MW) and will consist of 46 Suzlon S88 2.1 MW turbines.
