International Power becomes newest member of P3 Group

King of Prussia, PA, June 18, 2008 -- P3 Group president Glen Thomas announced International Power has become the 11th member of the non-profit organization, which supports the development of properly designed and well functioning markets in the PJM region.

International Power holds interests in over 40 power stations around the world. In addition to the United States, International Power operates plants in Australia, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Germany, Italy and 14 other countries.

International Power will be joining an organization that already includes: Conectiv Energy; Constellation Energy Group; DPL; Edison Mission Group; Exelon; FPL Energy; Mirant; NRG Energy; PPL; and PSEG. All members serve customers in the 13-state PJM region, which also includes the District of Columbia.

"We're pleased to have another outstanding energy company join our organization," Thomas said.
