Elster joins EPRI IntelliGrid program

Raleigh, N.C., Dec. 19 2007 -- Elster, a manufacturer and supplier of integrated metering and utilization solutions, has joined the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) IntelliGrid program. EPRI's IntelliGrid program performs research, development and demonstrations with participation and funding from member electric utilities, public agencies, equipment manufacturers and others to establish the vision for the smart or digital-age power grid.

"We are excited to have Elster join the IntelliGrid program," said Don Von Dollen, EPRI IntelliGrid program manager. "Elster brings another level of technical expertise to the broad consortium of companies that will refine the IntelliGrid vision and lead to advancements in making the smart grid a reality."
