Japan's Diamond Power to use Itron's IEE Customer Care

Liberty Lake, WA, Nov. 30, 2007 -- Itron announced a multiple-year contract with Diamond Power to host a Japanese language-enabled version of its Itron Enterprise Edition Customer Care solution.

Diamond Power provides electricity service to commercial and industrial customers. The company will use the hosted Itron software to provide its customers with new tools to analyze and manage electricity consumption.

Built on Itron's Enterprise Edition (IEE) platform, the Customer Care software solution is designed to offer energy providers a web-based tool for delivering service and value to large commercial and industrial accounts. Among other functions, the software generates "what-if" cost analysis reports that allow energy managers to compare various rate and demand scenarios. The IEE Customer Care solution provides online access to utility cost and meter information to keep customers informed about detailed energy consumption at multiple facilities based on historical load data.
