PECO named finalist for Energy Pioneer of the Year award

Atlanta, GA, Dec. 8, 2006 -- Cellnet Technology Inc. (Cellnet) announced that longtime customer PECO was named a finalist for the Platts' Global Energy Awards Energy Pioneer of the Year category. PECO's selection highlighted its market leadership in the deployment of advanced metering and associated improvements in performance for stakeholders.

The Energy Pioneer category recognizes companies that have implemented groundbreaking opportunities to change the energy industry playing field. Cellnet and PECO executives celebrated the PECO selection at the Platts' award ceremony and dinner New York City.

Since 1999, PECO and Cellnet have partnered closely to bring advanced metering services to 2.2 million electric and gas customers throughout PECO's service territory.
