Agilent Technologies Inc. introduced a series of multifunction data acquisition (DAQ) modules and instrument chassis that offer increased bandwidth for multiple I/O operations coupled with connectivity and hot-swappable connections. Agilent's U2300A Series USB modular multifunction data acquisition device is a tool for design validation and manufacturing engineers who conduct data logging, measurement or monitoring in a broad range of industries. It has a plug-and-play PC interface for high-speed data acquisition applications. The U2300A Series consists of seven modules with Hi-Speed USB 2.0, up to 64 analog input channels (384 channels when used with the U2700A Series chassis), and up to 3 MSa/s sampling rate for a single channel. The U2300A Series is compatible with a wide range of application development environments such as Agilent VEE, NI LabVIEW and Microsoft Visual Studio. The Agilent U2700A Series USB modular instrument chassis is a 6-slot USB modular chassis. It offers a plug-and-play setup and configuration with its Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface. Having the ability to connect up to six modules of U2300A Series DAQ devices, it allows an expansion up to 384 channels for various tests and measurements in high-performance applications. Compact and portable, Agilent's U2700A Series is also mountable to a rack-mount kit and provides star trigger bus synchronization for the modules.

Monaco is NewEnergy Associates' ETRM solution, which provides straight-through processing to increase the value and efficiency of energy trading and asset management operations. Monaco enables true multi-commodity portfolio management by providing flexible deal capture, full credit support, robust scheduling and accounting functionality, as well as advanced risk analytics. In addition, Monaco provides a lower total cost of ownership as well as one of the short deployment times, which can maximize stakeholder value and bring a rapid return on investment. Monaco features: Integrated front to back office functions; true straight through processing; thin client structure for fast implementation & easy maintenance; advanced architecture for scalability; and real-time results. Monaco also consists of the following ETRM capabilities: Multi-commodity enabled transactions; fast valuation of complex energy deals; true mark to market/actual convergence; advanced valuation algorithms, including Monte Carlo & custom proprietary algorithms.

Sakonnet Technology, a provider of energy trading and risk systems under the Software as a Service model, announced its production release of XenonXIP (Xenon Integration Platform) and XenonXDK (Xenon Developer's Kit), which enable efficient and flexible flows of data between Sakonnet's Xenon application, and clients' other trading-related data sources and systems. XenonXIP is an enterprise service bus for handling electronic data transmission between Xenon and customers' other platforms and systems. This middleware application is based on the Apache ServiceMix open source solution for messaging. XenonXIP will be used for interfacing to standard energy industry platforms, including Trayport, the ICE and Reuters, and also for creating new interfaces to meet client-specific needs. Sakonnet is simultaneously releasing XenonXDK, a Java API or component which will be used by Sakonnet and made available to its clients, to assist in building new interfaces, either using XenonXIP or independently.
