Opvantek Inc. announces distribution integrity management service offerings

Newtown, PA, Nov. 10, 2006 -- Opvantek Inc. announced the availability of two companion service offerings to help natural gas distribution utilities prepare for upcoming distribution integrity management regulations.

The company says their Distribution Integrity Roadmap project will help an LDC to quickly inventory all current sources of knowledge about the piping infrastructure and the threats it faces. The company then works with the LDC to identify and prioritize gaps in their distribution integrity management capability, and recommends a phased approach to address the highest priorities ahead of the impending regulations.

In addition, Opvantek is offering to help operators draft their own written Distribution Integrity Management Plan. This can be a natural follow-on activity to the DI Roadmap, or the two can be combined in a single project. Opvantek also says they will be prepared to provide a proposal to implement their distribution integrity management solution, Optimain DS.
