Lexington, KY, Dec. 19, 2005 -- Exstream Software Inc. announced it has been named one of America's 500 fastest growing private companies for 2005 by Inc. magazine for the second year in a row. Exstream was ranked #324 on this year's Inc. 500, with sales growth for the last four years of 409 percent.
The Inc. 500, which ranks privately held companies according to sales growth, is regarded as a prestigious indicator of growth among independent companies in the U.S. To be eligible, companies have to be privately held through fiscal year 2004 and have four full years of operating history. Information is verified by Inc. using tax forms and financial statements from certified public accountants and by conducting interviews with company officials.
Over the years, the Inc. 500 has identified the next generation of world-class companies, with Microsoft, Stonyfield Farms, Timberland, Oracle, The Princeton Review, Morningstar, Jamba Juice, Gateway, E*Trade, Intuit and Domino's Pizza all appearing on the list before they became industry powerhouses.
