St. Croix Valley Natural Gas chooses Enterprise Software from Innoprise Software, Inc.

ORLANDO, Fla. and BEND, Ore., Dec. 22, 2004 -- Wisconsin's St. Croix Valley Natural Gas has contracted with Innoprise Software, Inc. for new enterprise software that will replace the utility's legacy system. The gas company purchased Innoprise CIS, Financials and Work Management software, along with hardware and implementation services. St. Croix Valley Natural Gas is located in the city of Riverfalls, WI, and supplies gas service to more than 6,000 customers.

Innoprise Financials will be the first software package to be implemented starting in the first quarter of 2005. Innoprise CIS and Innoprise Work Management will follow.

"The new software offers inherent Internet capability and Microsoft® Office integration," explained Donald Piepgras, president for the utility. "Since our utility does not have dedicated internal IT support, features like these eliminate the overhead needed to perform time-consuming queries." Through advanced filtering, reports using data extracted from the CIS can be integrated into Excel, Word, HTML or PDF files with one click.

"Also," said Piepgras, "we have some customers today who are interested in on-line bill presentation and payment. Just to add that one feature to our legacy system would have been extremely costly. By implementing Innoprise applications, our utility will benefit with improved customer service, faster customization, less expensive maintenance and lower integration costs."

Innoprise applications use a Java™ 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE™) architecture that enables advanced functionality not possible with older-generation legacy systems
