GE Energy announces release of Smallworld Spatial Intelligence 4

ATLANTA, Ga., Dec. 13, 2004 -- GE Energy has announced the availability of Smallworld Spatial Intelligence™ 4, the latest addition to the Smallworld 4 product suite. The product offers a comprehensive business intelligence solution, offering powerful, yet simple-to-use data access, visualization, analysis and reporting tools for network companies. It helps companies leverage their investment in network infrastructure by combining this information with mission-critical business, demographic, lifestyle and financial data to drive more informed decision making.

GE Energy's Smallworld Spatial Intelligence 4 is compatible with the Smallworld Core Spatial Technology™ 4 application framework architecture. Through an intuitive and familiar user interface, the upgraded product provides users across the organization with desktop access to the information and resources throughout the enterprise.

Several enhancements have been made through this upgrade to allow more efficient use of data by providing the ability to enumerate string data, geo-locate external data, copy maps and copy queries.

In addition, customers using Smallworld Physical Network Inventory™ 4-an application which provides a complete, end-to-end view of a telecommunications operators' physical network-can now benefit from the visualization, analysis, querying and reporting capabilities of the enhanced product, with an easy, out-of-the-box installation.

GE Energy has developed an animated demonstration of the Smallworld Spatial Intelligence product. This demonstration can be downloaded from the Geospatial Asset Management product page on www.gepower.com.
