ST. PAUL, Dec. 17, 2003 -- MiniMax Corp. announced StakeOut, MiniMax's field design and work order automation software, has been successfully installed at Piedmont Electric Membership Corporation in Hillsborough, North Carolina.
Piedmont chose StakeOut to streamline their work order process, create a single field-based data entry point, increase accuracy and reduce costs.
Brett Garrett, Engineer for Piedmont said, "We've been very happy with the level of service we've received from MiniMax. The install went according to plan, with our entire design staff being trained in only two sessions."
During the install, MiniMax integrated StakeOut with Piedmont's NISC financial and CIS system. When Piedmont upgrades to StakeOut 6.1, which includes more mapping and GIS functionality, they will also integrate with their ESRI-based Geographic Information System using the MultiSpeak standard.
Garrett continued, "We see StakeOut allowing us to work more efficiently and increasing the accuracy of our facilities maps, automating the map updating process and reducing data entry."
Corey Maple, President of MiniMax Corporation said, "The Piedmont project required MiniMax to train a dispersed work force and install StakeOut in a complex system environment. In only two weeks, MiniMax's install team was able to accomplish the job, which demonstrates the success of MiniMax's new installation tools and processes." Maple continued, "StakeOut's process improvements will increase speed and accuracy for the utility while decreasing work order costs."
